The Spanish UnizartecH2 from Zaragoza had the most spectacular drive around the mobile street circuit and faced the Dutch Greenchoice Forze from Delft in the semi final. Both teams pushed hard to conquer a spot in the final as the Belgian team won from the British Imperial Racing Green. With 25,64 seconds, the Dutch were only 0,43 of a second slower than the Spanish.
Greenchoice Forze took second place in their final round before the battle for 0th place began. The Belgian team went on track first to set a record time of 24,24 seconds. It appeared to be a ‘mission impossible’ for the Spanish to beat their rival.
“It’s a challenging and technical track to drive”, were Erwin Janssens first comments, driver of the Belgian team. “I realized in practice yesterday that you easily can win or lose time. And maybe we can even go a bit faster through the chicane and improve our time.”
The ultimate winner of the ‘Gran Prix Torino’ will be decided in the feature race on Sunday 15:00 hours.
