"Formula Zero breaks record on the Coolsingel in Rotterdam!
"
On 16th September 2007 FZ driver Bo Ridder broke the 1/8 mile international speed record for fuel cell vehicles. By going nearly 3/10th of a second faster, the new record has been set at 11,591 seconds!
Alderman Harbers of Rotterdam gave the starting signal with the Rotterdam Climate Initiative flag on the Coolsingel in front of the Town Hall. The first time that this record was attempted was also in Rotterdam, last year. The record was then set by Formula Zero at 11,869 seconds. Linde's hydrogen produced zero CO2 emissions. To celebrate the breaking of the record, the Alderman made a toast with the clean water that came out of the hydrogen kart's exhaust.
